All looks delicious and a lot of work!

I agree: a lot of work went into creating good looking and I'm sure tasty food, and you folks shared some good photos.

Deviled eggs:

I too like them with paprika. Sometimes I sprinkle in or on some cayenne powder. And if I'm in the mood for extra spicy I'll add some finely diced jalapenos.

Will we see photos of Thanksgiving spreads?

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

LOL!  I had to share this. My daughter grew purple sweet potatoes this summer.....so we tried sweet potato biscuits with them .....interesting....these ARE baked, but because they were very moist, the biscuits are dense and moist....very good, by the way!!

We make them, freeze on a tray, bag them up frozen. When time to cook, drop in boiling water till they float....then some people put them in an oiled skillet to brown them. We never did. Eat with sour cream!

Thanks, Lorell.  At Christmas time my mom would bake her famous pecan cookies all week. Laura and I made her recipe today, to bring a little of my mom to us at Christmas time.......I made one "batch" of cookies. It used 7 cups of pecans, 16 ounces of cream cheese and a pound of butter per batch. I baked 4 trays of cookies, 60 cookies on each tray, each cookie about an inch long. Once cooled you store in air tight container. To serve, you toss them in powdered sugar. We made one batch. Took us 3 hours. My mom made at least 10 batches every year for Christmas. That was love.

Natalie, Wow those are Pecan Cookies? They resemble sausage rolls....but I am open minded.
Lunch;
Kimchi Dumplings In homemade Chicken Broth with veggies and shrimp.

Grant, they are pecan filled cookies! We have pecan trees and have our own. To make these cookies from store bought pecans would cost a fortune!!
Your Kimchi soup looks sooooo good!! I could eat a bowl right now!!

Grant, your foto food pictures are always make me drool and my stomach growl. This soup looks awesome. Do you make the Dumplings too?

Natalie, Those look delicious. ONe of my favorite stops on the way to Florida is at Ellis Brothers where we pick up our fresh pecans. I buy huge bag of partially cracked pecans which makes them easy to hand shell. It wasn't until I started traveling down to Florida a dozen years ago that I discovered the value of a good pecan. I always used only walnuts before because they were cheaper . I think it is neat that you have your own Walnut tree. Is it really big?

My aunt use to cook cookies like your mom and she was an expert at it. As a young teen, I would stay over at her house on a weekend and help her bake. She would make dozens and dozens of all different kinds and then make plates up for everyone to take home. Her best and most favored cookie was a German cookie made with LARD. No wonder they were so good. I know I have the recipe someplace but was never able to make it as good as she did. I did Christmas cookies for a while but because I was in the cake-baking business, it was too time-consuming and when I got a break from baking cakes for customers, I didn't feel like standing for more hours in the kitchen baking cookies.
