Ah good, I like food threads .
Another healthy looking dish, Grant. I am surprised that you did not identify what you call this.
Tonight I made some of the best cookies ever. Maybe I’ll take a photo of them in the morning and share the recipe. They even border on healthy!

Hey everyone, don’t forget that pie day is Monday. Pie is a good.

Okay Lorell,

For you.

This is our cheater version and left over to boot.

We have made Singapore fried rice noodle totally from scratch however that is where you wish you had a Sous-Chef on staff. Our less intense version is to purchase a passable Singapore from the better Asian takeout the next town over.

Then we add more marinated shrimp/more onions/more peppers and re-fry the noodles to get that smokey crust that we enjoy so much.

I marinate Raw shrimp in crushed Garlic submersed in Grape Seed oil, Sesame oil Black Pepper and my Sprinkle. This we fry up in a wok, then remove the shrimp so not to over cook. Using the same oil mix we fry up the onions and then add the peppers adding more curry. Finally half the Singapore then the shrimp. Plating add fresh bean sprouts.

To top it off DW makes a Pineapple Ginger sauce with a Sweet Chilie sauce. We use fresh Pineapple and Ginger.

Then coat & pan fry pork loin strips for a crispy coated Ginger Pork.

OMG, that sounds and looks DEEEEEEELICIOUS!  Wow.  Do you make your own noodles? I plan on making homemade spaghetti today using my Kitchen Aid Pasta attachment.  How do you make your noodles?  The rest of the ingredients sound divine.  And the photos definitely captured the juicy-looking glaze that you created.  Do you like eating chopsticks?  I always use chopsticks when eating Chinese food. It sounds like you and your wife like to cook together.  There are times when I ask my husband to help me, but most of the time, I'd rather do it myself.  Cooking and baking is therapeutic for me and to really get the ZEN, one needs to be alone and not talk to anyone.

So, I baked last night these delicious cookies.  If you would like the recipe, I would be happy to share it.  If baked correctly, they are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.  I altered the recipe a bit to be able to use the ingredients that I had in my house making it unnecessary to go to the grocery store.

Here are the ingredients:
Butter
Eggs
Flower
White Sugar
Brown Sugar
Salt
Vanilla
Baking Powder
Chopped Pecans
Chopped Dried Cranberries
Chopped Granola
Coconut
and Butterscotch Chips

On our way back from Florida the one hotel served a nice breakfast in a room with some friendly greetings on the wall.  The one that really grabbed my eye and brightened my day was the one in the composite you see below.  It made me think of the times I baked something, like banana bread, a pie, cookies, etc., at shared it with family or neighbors, or when they did the same for us.  It certainly brings a smile to people's faces and warms the heart.

aking me hungry so early. Love that ramen stuff, Grant. Your cookie recipe looks like a winner, Laurel.
Here's a quick shot of some of my kielbasa with my wife's yummy fresh baguette. Glad I got the shot. It didn't last long.

Funny Lorell,
But to answer your question. No I don't eat my chopsticks, but I do use them to eat. Especially plastic ones.
LOL
Your cookies look amazing. I want to see a cross section. Cut or break one in half.

Steve,
Looks good enough to eat. I see you are already doing that.

Do you like eating chopsticks?
Oh dear, did I really write that?  Sorry, I meant to ask, Do you like eating with chopsticks?

Steve, the fragrance of that kielbasa is coming in loud and clear. Would you believe that moments ago, BEFORE seeing your post, I took out a package of FRESH kielbasa from the freezer. Great minds think alike and ALSO EAT WITH CHOPSTICKS.

Grant, I don't know about this food thread. Some of us need to take off a few of those pounds we put on the last two Covid Years!

Oh, my. Grant, that looks  very good. That sauce looks very tempting!!
Lorell, oh, my. That cookies looks so good. Thanks for the recipe!! I'm sure all your baking has made tons of people very happy!!
Steve, that really looks scrumptious! Your homemade/smoked kielbasa is to die for....Your wife makes the baguettes? Recipe follows???
I, on the other hand, just fried up some "unhealthy" scrapple. But I have not had it in months, since I am trying to diet healthy, and was craving it.  Guess it's a cheat Sunday for me.

Natalie,
I had to look up scrapple. My dad most likely as he has some Pennsylvania Dutch in his bloodline as well as a mix of Irish and Scotch.
Do you make it from Pork scraps?
Lorell,
My wife and I do cook together every day. As for making noodles, No. The dried Asian egg and rice vermicelli noodles are easy to prepare and dried they keep forever.
Let the noodles sit for 5 minutes in water that has come up to a boil. remove/ rinse in cold water/ cut in half with Scissors/ season /fry.
