Food
Dave, Glad your salmon experiments worked out for you!
Patty, that looks good!   Let us know  how it tastes!!
I used up some zucchini today. Turned out tasting a lot like lasagna, was very good!  Sliced up some zucchini, salt and peppered it. put it in a dish with marinara sauce and mozarella cheese, baked it. Worth doing again!!

Those look fantastic damar and Natalie.

My salmon dishes of a couple of days ago turned out very tasty, but I didn't take any photos. So here is a shot of the leftovers that I had for lunch today. I slowly reheated them in a oven at a low 225F.

On the right is the spicy blackened one; at lower left is a recipe recommended by one of you (thanks again); at top left is a medium-sized smashed potato (S&P, EVOO, and balsamic vinegar) that I later topped with a dollop of horseradish cheddar cheese. Just as good as the first time.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Full course pizza looks great, Grant!

Hey Dave
I have found that using Sous Vide is a great way of reheating certain foods so they don't taste funny
(like they would if microwaved regeated)
You don't have to have a Sous Vide rig to do it. Just some safe food storage bags and place the food in the bag and heat in boiling water. Sometimes you can put the food in the boiled water, turn the burner off and just let it sit until heated.
Every try to reheat pork and it taste weird? Thats the best way. Tastes like the first meal.
If you have a food saver, you can use that and you don't really have to vacuum seal - just seal.
I have reheated food in freezer zip locks, but Sous Vide bags and a sealer are good.

Yesterday we picked up my father's day present. A small table top Pitt Boss smoker grill. I set it up on a temporary table.
Then I pre heated to get familiar. Tonight Apple wood pork sausage.

Great looking pizza, Grant.

A Pitt Boss smoker - I'm envious. Let us know about your results with it.

I threw together a rather eclectic late breakfast today. Two small but thick flour tortillas, first topped with some canned low-fat but extra spicy refried beans, one gently fried egg for each, some store-bought pub cheese heavily laced with horseradish, some browned Jimmy Dean hot sausage, and a home-made salsa (a mix of roasted/charred tomato, tomatillo, and jalapeno, dried Thai hot red pepper flakes, and fresh=squeezed lime juice). Accompanied with store-bought diced breakfast potatoes which were topped with more of the salsa. An unusual mix of flavors: Mexican type spiciness from the beans and salsa, more spiciness from the sausage, a different kind of spicy edge from the pub cheese, a rather strong acidic citrus element from the lime juice in the salsa, and bland potatoes. But they worked together surprisingly well.

The full plate (much more than I could comfortably eat)...

zoomed in a bit...
