Rich, I explored and pioneered mixing film formats and camera lens types to increase the speed of the scan so motion artifacts would not spoil the image.
Instead of a rather large rig with a bellows and f:5.6 lenses I opted to use the Betterlight Pano Adapter and SS Globuscope with 2 1/4 /645 lenses which would cover the short side of 3x4 inch scan window. These lenses are f:2.8 and the whole rig is less cumbersome lighter and sharper.
But the rig does look like it is a camera on life support. Not shown is the controller, laptop and battery.
The Colour Cowbay image of the marina I showed friday was captured in 41 seconds at 1/230 sec so motion artifacts were kept to a minimum. The False Colour IR was 93 seconds. Shooting in IR mode the sensitivity is increased by a large margin, so again motion artifacts are kept to a minimum.
In fact mixing different formats was so SUCCESSFUL I could capture boats in motion. This is also a small crop from a much larger pano.
