Hi there friends.
I had a nice time at the meeting last evening, it was good to see all though there was a small crowd this month. My photos were well receive and got some nice comments about my dragon photo.
Patty, you asked if it was a mural painted on brick. Actually the correct term would be cinder or concrete blocks. The images I shared does not give it a good reference to how large it was and now that I look back in my files, I never got an image that would represent the size accurately. We were in an alley and I could not stand back far enough the capture the total width of the painting. As you can see, I did a major change to the original as far as color, but as explained yesterday, I wanted to add lots of drama.
Below are two shots of what it really looks like.
Patty, I like the leaves and how they are cascading down from the trees above. They add layers to this interesting and pretty perspective shot of the bridge. It looks like a silhouette.
MFI, yes, those beautiful wild purple lacey orchids are a welcomed site. I understand your temps are bloody hot. I hope that you are comfortable and safe.
Dave, I think snapping the shutter when the animal has an unusual twist or turn, makes for a more interesting photo. Otherwise, it is just another photo of a bird. And the out of the ordinary subject then forces the viewer to linger to notice additional points of interest, like those big feet, beautifully layers feathers, and handsomely white and black painterly looking face.
