Food
I love cilantro, bastmanti rice, chicken, Chic Peas, Naan Bread (did you make this), but do not know about the Raita. Never heard of it.
Looks healthy and delicious.

Lorell, Raita is The East Indian answer to Greek Tzaziki. Similar but different. It calms the sometimes overwhelming intense curry and adds dimension.

I love Tzazki sauce but not much of a fan of curry.

Lorell,
I can't handle too much curry either, but it is season to taste so the result can be controlled. Raita is The East Indian answer to Greek Tzaziki. Both cool down overly spicy food.

Sorry I've not participated here lately. But I have enjoyed your photos and meal ideas.

I learned long ago that if I have a potato on hand, I have the base for a meal - just need to scrounge around for something to top it with.

Today's late lunch was a medium Idaho potato (microwaved for 8 minutes, but sometimes I bake it, adding a drizzle of EVOO for the last few minutes for a touch of browning). While the microwave was going I diced up a few ounces of a ham steak, sliced a couple of scallions, and crumbled a few ounces of pepper jack cheese. Quartered the potato lengthwise then sliced into 1/2 inch chunks, topped these with the ham and cheese, and nuked for another minute. Added a few generous dollops of sour cream and topped with the sliced scallions. Not fancy, but quite satisfying.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Nice one, MFI.

My lunch: just a humble meal of  frozen breaded fish (not the kind made from minced bits - I avoid those) topped with mayo and fresh dill (from a small patch next to the garage that has been thriving for over 5 years without much attention) and Tater Tots topped with salsa (not hot enough but my grocer discontinued my favorite hotter salsa).

Of course it cooled while I was taking the photo and I had to reheat it in the microwave, which made the fish and tots less crispy. One of the sacrifices we make for our passion for photography.
