How about some bread to soak up all the juices leftover from your tantalizing entrees.

Lorell,
I can always count on you to take your image to the next level. Your SDOF works beautifully with the subject. We really only need to see one sharp bun. As I said it works with this image.

Thanks, Grant. My cell phone has a PORTRAIT mode. I like using it, as you can tell.

Lorell, Those rolls would go great with the soup I'm making today. A cool light rain but warming tomorrow.

Lorell, I thought I commented on your rolls, but cannot see it. Sad I think sometimes I hit enter and think it's posted and it's not. They look great ! How do you make those, they look rolled? Some butter and honey and yum!! Love your DOF!!

Sorry I haven't contributed to this thread recently. But I have followed it and I'm impressed with the skills (culinary and photographic) you all have displayed.

Brunch today was ad-libbed street tacos.

1) Two baby Yukon Gold potatoes, diced
2) One large jalapeno (seeds and pith included for more heat) diced
3) Jimmy Dean hot sausage (about 4 to 5 ounces)
4) salt & pepper
5) two small but thick flour tortillas, street taco style
6) shredded pepperjack cheese
7) Mexican crema, sour cream style

I started the diced potatoes in a pan with a little EVOO, and when they showed the first signs of browning I added the diced jalapeno. When the potatoes looked about halfway to full browning I added the sausage, broken into small pieces. By the time the sausage was cooked to a safe level, the potatoes were nicely browned. I took the pan off heat and looked in the fridge for some shredded cheese, choosing pepperjack. When this cheese had begun melting, I put the mixture onto the two tortillas then drizzled on a little of the crema.

With this plated up I took it outside for some photos. It had cooled so I nuked it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then dug in. Pretty tasty, with just enough heat to get me awake and charged up for today's tasks.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Natalie.

The stump is left over after we had some trees cut down a few years ago, and I use it as a seat when I'm relaxing out front, maybe reading a book or just enjoying the day. But the city has twice sent me a nasty-gram saying I have to remove it because (for some unknown reason) they consider it an eyesore. I've ignored them, and so far with no troubling consequences.
