Nice manip, Michael! It does look like oils.
Very rich color.

Don, that looks like a greeting card cover!
I like it! Water color?

I have only been doing little daily journal vignettes in my sketchbook.
Nothing great, but it keeps me in practice.

Good one Don. I like colors and it would make a wonderful greeting card.

[Don]

Thanks Y'all. Yes, it is water color.

In art school we had a Wednesday night drinking club. This image was used for T Shirts.
The bar was the Apollo Room in the Ritz. We were the rats....

This is really cool Grant. Good artwork for a t-shirt! I am "puttin' on the Ritz and going out drinking!"

Gives new meaning to putting on the Ritz!

Don, good pencil work on the egg.I bet it was cold by the time you got to eat it.
Rich, I do work from photos. You are quite right that one needs to simplify and not put ALL the details in.
I also like to mix water colour and soft pastel. The one in fall colours I reprinted and added oil stick to a canvas print [in a later version]. The second named afternoon is is plein air. Edit I just  found the original fall photo.

I worked at designing so this book is my work. I was asked to adjust parts and to typeset.

Grant. good job on the book! I like the font you picked. Wonderful illustration!

Here is a recent watercolor. You may remember my photo I posted of it. Dave said I should paint it so here it is.

Rich, Nice handling. Shows what water painting is about. How wet or dry the paper is. when colour hits it.

[Rich]

Grant, thanks for the nice comments!

This one I just copied off the wall. It is from late 1970's.
Watercolour sitting in a canoe.
