Good morning to all - it is a little after 4 AM here, just one of those nights. Awake at 3 and finally decided to get up and hopefully be able to go back to sleep in a bit.
This photo popped up in my facebook feed yesterday, from about 10 years ago. At the music festival there was this old piano just sitting out there. The next year it was gone though. I'm sure the weather didn't help it a lot. I always thought it was a shame that someone would treat an instrument like that but maybe it had issues. I did see a few folks playing it though.

Immortalized forever
With silver and light"
Good morning all.
I had one of those totally sleepless nights two nights ago. The good thing was that I caught up with my ZZZZZZZZ last night and will feel much better today.
That is a cool capture, Don. It must have been early morning because everyone is still asleep. Poor little abandoned piano. I imagine days at family functions people gathered around around the piano singing tunes and having a gay old time.
Finally warm temps here starting today. Hope you all have a great start to your weekend.

Good morning, Don. Nice shot, but where IS everyone? From the shadows, it' looks like noon. I cannot imagine not seeing even one person in a shot like this!! Funny all the tents (but one) are blue and white!! Poor piano....they are not waterproof, so I imagine the moisture led to it's demise so not there the following year.
Hi, Lorell! Getting warmer here, too! I might put my tomato seedlings out today....will have to shade them for a few days.....they are not used to the sun!
I've taken to a nap some days as I, too, do not get the night rest I need.
Interesting and thought-provoking photo, Don. I agree with Natalie that it looks around mid-day, so maybe everyone is taking in a performance somewhere nearby or in the lunch line.
Hi Lorell, Natalie, and any who visit later.
A shade-loving plant caught during the few minutes a day when it gets a little sun filtering through overhead leaves...
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

OMG, Dave, the flower is glowing. That is so beautiful. I like the diagonal positioning of the flower. I have come across photographers' work where they create ultraviolet photography. It is really a cool effect. Here is a website that explains it well and has examples. Your photo made me think of this.

Not just the colors but the lighting and composure of the shots are so well done. Speaking of colors, our ride from town yesterday was highlighted by this super strong rainbow. I wanted to grab a shovel and dig up some treasure.
