Early morning to all.
Just saw 18 Elk saunter past the house. 2 am,They were self distancing in single file down the street. The Stag with a massive Rack was last watching over his herd....

On another note. A cell phone image.

Abandoned

Can you tell I am bored waiting for spring?

Hi Grant, and thanks for starting the Daily. Two appealing photos: in the first I like how the lines contrast with the soft curve of the snow; in the second, the crystals look great against that rich blue, and to me at least the image looks like falling snowflakes set against a dark but colorful winter sky.

Elk wandering past your house - that must have been neat to see. I remember a business trip to Calgary and I was amazed at how casually the profusion of wildlife strolled through suburban areas of the city. And the huge park (in the midst of the city if I remember correctly) was very impressive.

Taken yesterday, here's one of Ron's roses that has managed to survive despite being completely abandoned...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good morning guys and all who follow. Looks to be a nice day here today - right now it is 50F but is supposed to get into the 60's and maybe even the low 70's. I'm hoping it gets warm enough for a motorcycle ride a bit later.

That is a lot of snow Grant! I like the lines and curves of the image. Those feathery ice crystals always makes an interesting subject.

How long do you think the roses will hang on Dave? It is such a shame that they are slowly fading away after being cared for by you friend for so long.

I needed to finish up a roll of 35mm so I went to the local historic cemetery a few days ago and worked on this image this morning. There are quite a few old wrought iron fences around some of the plots. This one seems to be in pretty good shape, unlike some others.

Thanks for getting us started today, Grant!
Thats a lot of snow drift. Sweep it all off with a broom, only to find ice underneath...LOL...
I remember that kind of weather, well.
Your frost is pretty though!
12 Elk..thats a herd! How cool is that!

Hi Dave!
Little details: I like the shadow that the curl of the petal makes
on the sunlit yellow.

Hi Don!
That is some beautiful wrought iron work.
Excellent photo too. I like the entire composition.
Solid!

This is from yesterdays walk.
Nothing of great interest, but I brought my camera with me.

Another nice one, Don. How long do I think the roses will last? I don't know; I'm surprised any have lasted after 4 or 5 months without attention - no pruning, no fertilizing, no water other than a few days of rain now and then.

damar, nothing says Spring to me more than a clean and crisp photo of colorful yellow flowers. Daffodils? BTW, I also noticed and appreciated that shadow.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
