Today is sunny after yesterdays Blizzard.
We took advantage of Sundays weather to drive to Saskatoon, see my dad, and to go to the Asian Hut where we had their lunch special. Pho soup and crunchy crispy Spring Rolls. Oh yeah these were from the cell phone....

Trip going well. Should get to the island at 2pm. It s almost 70 degrees now here in north Florida. Wish I could attach a photo,  it files are too big from phone. Have a good start to the month. I’ll check in later.

Your photos always make me hungry and I had a big bowl of delicious oatmeal with raisins sliced almonds and brown sugar this morning at the hotel. But now I want some soup and eggrolls. It looks like we were posting at the same time but you were first. Hopefully Don can merge the two threads.

We left Michigan at just the right time. They are expecting a huge snowfall starting today and will last two days maybe up to 14 inches.

Lorell, It sounds like you should be about 30 minutes away from the island now. You picked a good time to get away from this frigid Michigan winter - enjoy your vacation.

Hi Grant! That soup and roll look great! We do Chinese at least once a week. I also love cooking asian food.

You know it was freezing in North and Central FL a few days ago!
DD's temps were down in the mid 20s.
It doesn't last long though! Cant wait to see some of your beach photos!

Well I have some flour I have to use up so I'm making bread from scratch.
I was going to get some RYE flour...yikes, it's high. I'll shop around online.

This is an ipad photo. I try not to gunk up my cameras in the kitchen.

Great looking bread, damar. My wife has been baking a lot lately; last week was a creamy, slightly tart apple pie. and there is now some kind of light cake on the counter that smells wonderful.
