Here's a favorite oldie, from nearly 16 years ago. I like the shapes, swirls, textures and values. Reprocessed a few hours ago.

   

I also like the ambiguity of the image. It seems to show a geologic formation involving water-carved winding canyons, taken from above Earth or another planet. But that's not it is. Any guesses?

Looks like root burls from an old tree.

Yes, they are roots that I stumbled across somewhere on one of my daily walks.

Knew it was tree roots. I love looking for such natural patterns as well.
Yours is as you say, suggestive of a landscape.
