Good Day, all,
I keep getting sidetracked with things; before you know it, the day is over.

I need to focus on digging up 10 photos for my club meeting next week.  In the past, I made enough cannolis for everyone and even a few for our Pres and Vice Pres to take home to their wives. But I won't be doing that this year.  I have an excuse, "still mending from my hip surgery".

The reason why many of these photos are so heavily post-processed is that they were taken from inside of a car and through a windshield.  I took several potential captures as my hip started to fail me and I was unable to get out with my camera. But although I liked the composition, the quality of the photo was drastically minimized like this one.

The story behind this one is that the young Amish boy walked a girl home and then turned around and headed back for his own home. Notice the buggy tracks on the road.

You gave the photo more life, so maybe it was good that you had to do some post processing?

Thanks, Peter.
Yes, I felt that it really needed something extra to breathe life into it.

You have such beautiful birds for your subjects.
I am going out on a limb here though (that pun is for you, Peter).
I bet their song or call is not as pretty and pleasant as their feathers.

Very artistic and moody, Lorell.

MFI, beautiful creatures.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Branching out?
The cockatoo family are in general, screechers. The most notable being our sulphur crested or white cockatoo.
The galah or rose breasted cockatoo has a number of calls, one a screech and others more melodious. They are loud birds but not the loudest. Try all four sounds here but skip the first until you read the description. https://www.graemechapman.com.au/library...=195&p=371

The grass parrot or red rumped parrot, has sweet gurgling tinklings. https://www.graemechapman.com.au/library...=373&p=383

Lorell, I like the post processing you have achieved. As Peter said it gave it life!

Peter, beautiful birds but screechy talk!
