Hi Folks

I just posted another set of my camera club entries in my images section.

We are off to Oz in ten days time, visiting family and friends. Quite a number of photo-opportunities planned this time.

I believe it is to the south coast of Oz?
Hope you love it as much as I'd love to be there.

Thanks for starting a Daily for us, Pete. Have a great trip.

Hi MFI. To answer your question, no I didn't eat the Brussels sprouts; they were my wife's. Besides, I've never bought in to the logic of "an acquired taste". The way I view it, if something is distasteful the first time, why would I want to repeat the unpleasant experience?

Yesterday was a fine day: clear skies, temps in the mid to upper 60s, and no wind. So it seemed a good day to photograph one variety of yellow flowers (sorry but I don't know the name) in the front yard.

After cleaning out a lot of debris left all over the yard by recent strong winds I decided to focus on different parts of the flowers.

1) With the focus on the nearest petals...

A different flower of the same type, this time with the focus on the structures in the middle of the flower...

I'm not sure which I prefer. Each has some things that I like and others that I'm dissatisfied with.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, all of the Brassicas have distasteful properties. It really does come down to how well they are grown and harvested that makes them edible at all.
