Hello All,
Time sure flies by fast.
Outside a sense of calmness and quiet descended upon the neighborhood now that kids had returned to school on Monday.  Some kids have already gotten a few days off after severe thunderstorms blew through on Monday night.  We were spared and our power was not disrupted.

Peter, answering your question regarding the graffiti and the building being vacant. The last train came through the train station in 1988 (Amtrack).  Then the building shut down for the next 30 years.  The Ford Motor Company bought the building and shortly afterward renovations started. It took 6 years before the station was opened for public viewing.

The special assignment for my Photo Club in October is Street People.  I may use this shot from inside the train station to fulfill that category.  I also zoomed in on the photo to show you the extensive devastation done to the interior. This large photo was placed in front of the long hallway that appears in BACK of the photo/photographer.

Sorry I've been AWOL lately. Lots of things going on recently; none of great importance, just stuff that needs to be taken care of.

Lorell, I've enjoyed your photos of the Train Station. Both versions today are very good.

Some unidentified plant in the small area between the sidewalk and the street, taken about an hour ago. It clearly has been left untended.

I probably won't be able to comment on photos posted earlier this week. My apologies to those who shared.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

WoW Lorell! What a mess they made! Glad Ford bought it and did the repair. Would have been a great loss! i don't understand vandilisim. Good luck at camera club!

Dave, good composition and presentation. I have no clue, looks like dandelions ready to burst but I know they aren't that.

Just got home from a massage, ready for a nap now!

Dave,
I love the tones, composition and vertical orientation of your unidentifiable floral.

Thank you both for the positive remarks regarding the train museum.

Rich, did you have a good nap? I took one today too. It seems like that is an inevitable afternoon occurrence on days I start off at the pool.

Untended is correct. This plant is known as Fleabane and it is the bane of car radiators among other things as the seed completely clogs up the cooling fins.
It really is one of the worst weeds on the planet. I know of no predators of the plant. It is almost impossible to kill.
Happiness simply is.

Thanks for the nice comments, Rich and Lorell. I liked the colors and values this weed displayed.

MFI, we can always rely on your for flora and fauna identification. Many thanks for all you have given us over the years.

Sounds like an especially nasty invader. I'm glad it wasn't in my yard - I've got enough problems controlling other undesirable growth.

Just getting a good start when my phone rang. Oh well, went to bed a half hour early then. Yes, a swim and/or a walk in the cemetery usually does it for me too!

If it has been nearby with seed on it like that, it will have dispersed everywhere the wind blows or water went. I've seen the seed as thick as a dust storm. It has taken over large parts of Australia and has caused severe crop losses by farmers excessive chemical spray drift. https://weeds.dpi.nsw.gov.au/Weeds/Fleabane
