Good day, Peter.
Thanks for the shot of the lovely flowers.  Flowers that I have never seen the likes of in my entire life!
Hope that you day has been going well.

I purposely have one with NO COLOR.
This is photo club week for me and one of the special challenges for this month is farm animals.  But we also have a second challenge of MONOCHROME.  So, I have combined the two.

Have a good day all,
LORELL

Thanks for starting a Daily, MFI. Nice colorful blossoms and I'm with Lorell - have not seer flowers like that before.

Hi Lorell. I like you image. As always, faultless composition and processing. Interesting shapes and forms, superb values, and just the right degree of sharpness. Those horses are impressively sturdy and muscular.

Stay safe in the heat.

No new photos from me, but the day is young.

I'm recuperating after several days of removing thick growths of invasive ivy. It'll probably take days to rid myself of stiffness and back pain.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

If you can stand another shot of nestling hummingbirds, here is one taken yesterday...

The photo was very noisy so my processing involved a strong Gaussian Blur, then using a layer mask hiding the blur from the birds and nests. I didn't go a good job on this in some areas, and consequently some edges of the birds look a bit off.

We don't have A/C and rarely would need it. Being so close to the coast our high temperature today will be a very pleasant 72 (22 C).

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Lorell and Dave. The plant is Eremophila longifolia which has several common names. Learn more about it here. It is valuable fodder for stock and has many uses in indigenous culture.
You may note that I'm a big fan of The Eremophila genus. Many of my photos are of various Eremophila species, many of which I actually grow in my garden and surrounding land. Eremophla basically means: desert loving.
If you visit my Flickr, you'll find an album entitled; 'Eremophila desert blooming'.

I enjoyed your B&W of horses,
Dave, that is a stunning hummingbird shot.
