Hello all.
And a Happy Father's Day especially to all the great dads here.
I did some light painting last night and just finished layering all of my images to create this composition.
These two related oil cans, "father and son" were my dad's.
I wanted it to appear that the little guy was leaning in to say, "Happy Father's Day Dad".
Have a great day.

It's simplicity is very pleasing, the colors are lovely, and your treatment of the light is perfect.
It manages to be both soothing and powerful.
I think this is one of your very best ever images.
I have no new photos worth sharing.
An update on the hummingbird family nesting just outside our front door...
The two chicks seem to be doing well. I was worried for a while when I hadn't seen the mother for a couple of days, but since then I've observed her feeding the tiny chicks (and that always looks alarmingly dangerous as the mother forcefully rams her long and sharp beak into the gaping mouths). She seems to spend little time on the nest, perhaps sleeping nearby during the night instead of in the nest.
I can't get a vantage point for good photos but the chicks should be in the early or middle stages of fledging now. I estimate they will leave the nest to begin their independent lives within 2 weeks.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Ohhh nice! Everything Dave said is my thoughts. The lighting is superb. The tilt of the small oil can is magical! Really adds interest! What a great story you gave them!
I finally got a decent photo of the nestling hummingbirds; here's one...
After viewing the image, I believe these youngsters are more developed than I thought; probably almost fully fledged.
Even though I shot with a slower shutter speed than I like to (and I was fortunate that this shot turned out reasonably sharp), I had to deal with a lot of graininess, and failed to eliminate all of it.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Oh my goodness, Dave, this is one of YOUR best shots of the little hummers.
How exciting to be able to capture an image like this.
Good for you and good for us.
Thanks all for the positive feedback.
I truly appreciate it.
