May 2024 - Yellow

[Michael]

Yellow, why not?

[Dave]

Hi Michael.

Sure, why not yellow.

Here's a mostly yellow macro of a Day lily that I photographed yesterday...

[Rich]

Why not indeed!
A good start so far.
How about a 1936 Chevy!

[Don]

Somewhere in Scotland. Maybe Loch Ness pier.

Thanks guys.

Rich, what a magnificent car, and very well captured.

Wonderful photo, Don. That looks like some sort of floating object, but I can't figure out its function.

MFI, more like more fascinating flora from down under. What is it?

Thanks for the link, NFI.

It reminds me a little of what is commonly known as Dusty Miller or Silver Ragwort. I'll try to fiind a photo of that, but for now, here's another yellowish blossom, taken yesterday morning in my front yard...

I didn't feel a need for much processing with this one: about all I did was crop & rotate for composition, sharpening here and there, and brightening parts of the flower. The dark background is what the camera captured with the settings I chose.

Michael, good to see you posting again! Your model car brings back fond memories of my model car building in the late 50's.

Dave, excellent as usual! The stamens really pop!
Interesting shadows on your second one.

Don, good one! Looks like a protector so boats don't rub the pier.

Interesting flora Peter!

Here is another annual show car. One of my favorites..

Dave, love the yellows being consumed by the darkness.

and Rich's rod is hot.

Here's just a little yellow.
