I decided too crost-post this one from a recent Daily.

   

I would not consider it a manipulation. Originally taken nearly 6 years ago, I recenlty reprocessed it: crop and rotate, rweaking values here and there, some selective sharpening) and I think those are basic processing techniques and don't make the image a manipulation. Certainly nothing was done with the intent of disguising what the suject is.

I will say the seat and tail light on a cycle or scooter.

The item in the photo is much, much smaller than an automobile.

I'll give it a few more days, then maybe provide another clue.

When I reprocessed this photo I rotated it 90 degrees clockwise for a better composition, but now I think this is misleading for those trying to guess what it is. So here it is in its normal position...

Is it part or of a hubcap?

Well, you gave us one when you didn't say; "it is not a motorbike".

I had initially thought it may be partly a seat on a motorbike but was having trouble woorking out why anyone would get a motorcycle seat made with that badge on it.
