Today I showed my granddaughters where a bearded dragon had laid her eggs some 60 days before.
Today they got to hold some baby dragons before releasing them again.
Oh, Peter, that had to be such a thrill for the girls. I guess the timing of their visit was perfect. So, did they watch the babies hatch? How exciting and well captured images.
Dave, I think a little pruning would benefit those bushes. Maybe they wouldn't notice if you did a little snipping.

I went back out this morning before the granddaughters got up and found a new one just hatched. I could take some photos of the dragon without the girls. This babe is about three inches long at best.

That is so interesting, Peter....we don't have them here!! It must have excited your grand children! My neice teaches school and in her class for several years they had one of those bearded dragons....She would bring it home for the summers....I got to take a few images.....they are so handsome! Thanks for sharing!
Dave, interesting image, it sure represents old age, and how I am feeling right now!
Lorell, Grant, I appreciate the images, but please keep the snow there, don't send it here!!

I've not experienced a hurricane. I have been very close to tornadoes (and one time my Dad and his best friend had to literally run for the lives from one while golfing.)
Yes both tornadoes and hurricanes are frightening, but for me there is something absolutely unnerving about earthquakes. The ground (aka Terra Firma) just isn't supposed to move.
One time during a round of golf with a friend the birds suddenly went silent. I heard a soft rumbling that quickly intensified, and I looking back down the fairway I saw the wave undulating towards us; when it reached us it knocked me to my knees.
A tiny flower caught in the strong, clear early morning light on today's first walk...
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
