Hope everyone is having a decent holiday season so far.

A few from yesterday. This time of year more and more people are in need of help. I met this couple, who are struggling, but, do their best to make ends meet. He may be one of the best violinists I have ever heard. They both try, sometimes we just need a hand up. Leica Q2.

Thanks for starting our Daily, Michael. Powerful images that document a sad situation - well done, sir.

Still going through my archives, I came across this photo of backlit blades from mid-March 2017 that for some reason I never did anything with. So I processed it yesterday...

May you all have a good week.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for starting our daily for us, Michael.  Your images are poignant.  I wish I could hear the music coming from the violin.  It has to be very difficult to swallow ones pride and beg for help.  The expression on the girl's face indicates that.  I also find it interesting how her sign demonstrates how times have changed and instead of throwing cash in a bucket, hat, or violin case, you can electronically donate by using VENMO.

Dave, I like how you colored the leaves of the aloe plant. I am assuming you added some color because I do not recall the leaves of the succulent being that color.  It is nice the way catch the morning sun on your subject and use the shadows to create contrast.

Michael, your series reminded me of this statue outside of a Detroit Lutheran church founded in 1850.
