September Challenge - Selective colouring. Part Colour part B&W
#11
When I suggested this Challenge I never intended that selective to mean a single colour. Note that the wedding couple has more than one colour, both a red coke can and a chocolate ice cream and cone....

Natalie, Your Raggedy Ann Doll is a perfect addition as is your multi coloured train. Talk about pop!
Lorell, Nicely done on the Bike Stand.
Don, I remember how clean Singapore was. The colouring makes a statement. Also has more than 1 colour.
Dave, The Butterfly works! If you want to reduce Noise in the hummingbird image try a small amount of negative clarity on the selected and Desaturated Colour background.

Well, we seem to like the combination of Black and Red.  I sure do.
How about this one?  I call it  "Distracracted".

Nice one, Lorell. The compositions is rock solid, with the red drawing the eye towards the photographer. Values are faultless. And I like the touch of blue.

A rather sloppy conversion of some of my wife's cherry tomatoes..

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, your conversion of the cherry tomato images creates a brand new interest in this composition. I like it because it is eye-catching and different.
I also loved your butterfly image.  Great detail and color.

Don, the red phone booths definitely accentuates BY-Gone days.

Natalie. I enjoyed the bright MULTI colors of the train.

Dave, Remember in the days of old when hand colouring, Sloppy was king. Afterall one did not want to get tight trying to colour between the lines. So I have no argument with your looser cherry tomatoes and I quite like the green one thrown in for contrast....

Lorell, I really like your Emergency image!  Well spotted and well done with the conversion!!  Some images do work better than others, this is proof!
Dave, I don't know what you mean about sloppy. Your tomatoes work perfectly!! love that the light shows off they have whiskers!!

Natalie, wouldn’t want to walk into that spider’s web after dark or even in the daytime. Your close up, Natalie, makes it look huge and dangerous.
