Morning Everbody,
Have not had much luck lately posting and getting some sort of response. Probably because it is that I post at the end of the day.

Anyway here is a studio shot of three sisters. The challenge was to have each one equal emphasis as well as all three a cohesive unit..
Hope you enjoy. Photography for pay is somewhat different than making images for your own enjoyment....

Grant, excellent composition, a beautiful pose. Love the toning! My talent is a -10 posing people. I am better off shooting inanimate objects! Second one is a fun photo!

I have found that sometimes I do not get a notification of a post. I don't know why though. Yes, it seems we shut down right before Happy Hour!  Big Grin

Hi Everyone! Hope it was a nice weekend for you!

Grant, the 3 sisters is a very nice arrangement and they are all quite beautiful!
The M&Ms Bride and her bridesmaid is super cute!!!

Hi Quint and Rich!

I am trying to get back in the posting groove here; it's just been busy and I'm trying
not to stress over all the stuff we are trying to get done.

Yesterday, started out nice so we took the motorcycles out. It was a gorgeous ride but it started gettinh windy and overcast so we returned home.
Only a 90 mile ride, but it was nice to be out there.

We came home and Little Boss (our chihuahua mix) wanted to go for a walk, so we loaded him up and drove into town (he loves urban hiking).

Nothing of great interest, but the weather made for decent B&W.

Grant, I have to apologize, I had thought I commented on those are the "birds" I can shoot. The sisters three is a great portrait. Those are the type of portraits that bring back memories again and again.

The Fuji with the Tri-X push always makes for a great photo. The simplest shots are often ones that evoke an emotional response or memory. Awesome grab.

Just a shot from a local wine room.

Grant, Like Rich I'm not much for taking people photos. Also like Rich, my very first impression of your 3 sisters was the same as his - that the lighting and the composition are excellent.

Hi damar. I've missed seeing your urban and rural scaoes. You're right that the overcast sky produced good light for a B&W. Nice!

Michael, you posted as I was correcting typos. That's another fine indoor shot in your recognizable style.

One more shot of the egret that walked around our neighborhood last week. Here he is in my front yard, moving past my wheeled raised bed...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave. I did not realize I have a recognizable style.
Another Fantastic shot. The beak going into negative space makes for a stunning color lift, and that green is perfect!

Thanx for the comments. The trick with the 3 Sisters was to watch each of their individule body languages and to use that in the composition. Then of course to coax smiles at the same moment.
Michael, As Dave mentioned, there is your unmistakable style with Shallow depth of field. Again!
Patty, Missed you. As I did consume many rolls of tri-X, it is slightly weird to watch how Successful your Fuji is at interpreting film treatment. And of course your composition is always on the money.
Dave, You too have a style. SDOF and contrasting backgrounds. The image sure shows off that neck.

Greetings Patty! Yes I had a wonderful weekend. I made Easter dinner for my Son and DIL. My daughter and family are taking a vacation in Arizona. Getting some nice photos of the Grand Canyon and the Glen Canyon Dam.
Sounds like you are getting the wind too. Been terrible here for a month.

I like your urban B&W photos. Gives me a little taste of GA!

Michael, You do have a recognizable style. Interesting wine rack!

Dave good one. I agree with what Michael said. Well exposed with all the darks and lights!

Wow! Nice to see so many of you!

Thanks Michael!
I like the diagonal slice of sharpness contrast in your wine bottles.
I agree with Dave, you have your own recognizable style! I see it most in your focus skills.

Dave, that is a COOL capture of the egret! Wow!
The mandible points right into that beautiful OoF blue background too. Love it!
Its neck formed a pretty nice reverse curve too.
The Three Sisters: I forgot to mention how the background glow ties all three together.
Great example of using light to accomplish that.

Thank you, Grant!
The nice thing about the fuji and the sims is that I see that effect in the screen or viewfinder as I compose the frame.
So I can tweak the settings and see the results before shooting.
What I'm lacking is fresh, interesting subject matter!!
Must get out more and further from home.
