October challenge - the color GREEN
#21
Nice ones, Michael, Que Sera, Lorell, and MFI.

From today's first walk...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Smile good Lorell. This means you should know how to tell the difference between ants and termites. Many in Australia call termites white ants. I find myself bound to inform them that there is no such thing as white ants. Wink

Nice work Dave. I like how the edges of the leaves show prominence.

This is club moss. Looks like emeralds in the dark.

Lots of interesting images here folks. I should join in.

Here is one that I'm pretty certain I never put up in the Photography section of WC. (I did however put up a manipulated version under the Landscapes section.)

This image is actually a montage of two shots. The first was taken with a 6 Mpx Minolta D7D. It was basically the same scene, but without the horses and fence. The second image was taken six years later with a 24 MPx Sony A77 of the horses and fence, from virtually the same position and time of day. I decided that the use of a combination of the two images would produce the best result.

Peter, the minute I saw your image I thought “I wonder if it is a composite?” . Not because it looks like it is, NOT IN THE LEAST, but because I know how skillful you are with PS and the visions you have dancing in your head. This is really beautiful and the horses and fence add a nice touch to the composition. I like the three elements, the horses, the house and the pond. You did such a wonderful job of creating this beautiful pastoral scene.

MFI, those emerald balls look like they are glowing in the dark. A wonderfully exciting capture.

Dave, iI like how you used the light to make this image come to life. The yellow edges on the edges of the leaves makes this so unique. Well done, Dave. There is a nice flow and movement throughout the composition.

Thanks MFI; I intentionally emphasized the leaf edges. What interesting texture and color on those spheres.

Peter, your skills at taking photos and editing/compositing images are second to none. That's a marvelous image.

Thank you, Lorell. I'm pleased you noted the "nice flow and movement throughout the composition." I became aware of that as I was processing and tried to preserve it.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

I've really enjoyed seeing the leaf edges on Dave's work, the shine on Lorell's car engine and the variety of work from MFI - such interesting shots.

I came upon another green picture while looking for something else.
