Good morning all. Connected to the park WIFI this morning to see how everyone is doing. Not much planned for today so far. DW is still snoozing. We spent yesterday morning exploring some historic churches in the area. I shot several 4x5 sheets both on my pinhole and Pressman. Also some on the Mamiya 645 Pro so I'll have some film processing to do when I get home.

The trail I wanted to go on today is closed because of a scheduled control burn. Drat. Tomorrow I think we will drive down to St. Marys on the coast and have an early dinner. St Marys is a nice little historic town. Might stop by and take a nature drive though part of the Okefenokee Swamp on the way.

A very nice start to ou mid week daily, Don. Sounds like are gathering some good historic shots. I know you are enjoying using your imagination and your fun cameras. And is always nice to go take photos of new things. What keeps your wife busy on these trips?

Nice one, Don. The touch of sepia makes the image especially appealing.

Hi Lorell. How's the weather today on the island?

Speaking of weather, they're saying SoCal could have the highest temp in the US today. Locally, my area of Huntington is projected to reach 83 F (28 C) this afternoon.

Taken on a morning walk 2 days ago, this fence lizard is calmer than most - they usually scamper away as soon as they see me...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hi Don!
I assume that's a church? Its so nice and square and symmetrical. It sits beautifully on the lot with the tree.
Very nice!
Thanks for starting the daily!

Hi Lorell!
Hope your vacation is off to a great start!

Hi Dave!
That lizard gave you a good back glance!
Let us know if you break the high temperature record today.
It's cool and mild here. Expected high for the day is 59º.
Pretty blue skies.

Morning walk, these two (red tailed hawks) were sitting together in a tree.
It was close enough to our house that I could go in and get my camera.
I got a front view shot but there were too many branches in front of them.
I liked this "candid" look. (posted from FlickR so it looks soft to me)

Well yesterday I went and picked up a dozen Ball canning jars.
I guess I should order the pressure canner soon! LOL
I use the canning jars for a lot of other things too: dry food storage, leftovers and putting dehydrated
veggies in.
My new canner will be an All American 910. My son has the next size up, but its too big for my
stove top (Otherwise I would borrow his)  radiant heat would melt my gas burner control knobs!
New stove is on the "to-do" list but counter tops will have to be replaced. It will touch off a chain reaction that will result in a complete kitchen overhaul.
Not looking forward to the inconvenience. Some of which we would do ourselves.
Time is tight as always.
Hope everyone has a great day!
