I saw this very young fence lizard resting on a vertical wall on an unseasonably hot day a week or two ago. I was trying to capture the sense oh heat emanating off the wall, but failed - the photo is barely mediocre. However, in looking at it again, I think it presents a bit of an optical puzzle: Is the corner projecting towards the camera and the side walls receding, or are the walls running towards the camera and the corner farther away?

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Morning Dave, The shadows tell me the whole story. The corner is furthest from my viewpoint.
The only puzzle to me is "Where did the monthly challenge go?"
Okay It is back....

Morning, gents.
Blessings to all on this Sunday.

Thanks, Dave for starting our daily for us with the cute little critter enjoying a sunbath. He sure blends in nicely with his background, another illusion. Isn’t Mother Nature clever?

Hey Grant, I have been waiting too for the new challenge.  I don’t think Don minds who starts it. Why don’t you pick a topic.

Be back soon with an image.

Breakfast is served.
A crunchy Fried Egg Sandwich and I am not talking about the crust.

Dave, Now I see the illusion. I guess I just needed to wake up.
Lorell, Funny shot. Is that how you get your Calcium? Don did choose a challenge. Steps or Stairs.
I couldn't find the thread at first this morning.
