Sports talk follows; any not interested in sports are free to ignore this post, of course.
This being a big weekend in the US for sports, my thoughts drifted back to t he many sports I enjoyed when younger. I played Little League baseball when quite young; in high school it was baseball, football, and wrestling plus golf and a little tennis. I wrestled in college. After that I continued golf and enjoyed running. But a chronically bad back means my athletic days ended over 20 years ago. I sure do miss them.
Any of you who played sports probably have your own memories, and maybe stories to tell
As often happens when one ages, forgotten memories return, and I have many memories of my sports participation - most are good but a few are of things I should have done differently.
Speaking of sports this weekend, I want to document my predictions for the NFL playoffs, starting from this weekend's games and then through the Super Bowl:
This weekend (the wild card games) I'm picking the LA Chargers to upset the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers to upset Houston Oilers, Buffalo Bills to beat Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears to upset Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles to beat San Francisco 49ers, and LA Rams to easily beat Carolina Panthers. (Yes , that's 3 upsets, and I'll be lucky if even one of them really happens.
Next weekend (Divisional Championship games) I pick: Denver Broncos to beat LA Chargers, Buffalo Bills to beat Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia to beat Chicago, and LA Rams to upset Seattle Seahawks.
The following week (Conference Championship games) I'm going with Denver to beat Buffalo and LA Rams to beat Philadelphia.
That would pit Denver vs LA Rams in the Super Bowl, where I'm going with the Rams to win by 7 or fewer points.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Cool that the clouds work well with the power lines, Dave.

Nicely framed and with the artificial lighting filling the darker spaces nicely.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.

Thanks guys.
You pointed out aspects that I hadn't noticed.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
