Dave, I agree with you.The chicken and the coke can is a wonderful imagel. Lorell, Although I like the B&W version, especially the power of the arm and fist, I don't think the shapes in the sky work well. [they used to be clouds?] My eye keeps getting stuck on them. I guess trying to make sense of those hard shapes. But then who am I to make a C&C....

WoW! I should have made a selfie as I looked at all the amazing B&W photos! It would have shown my jaw dropped down to the keyboard. I am totally gobsmacked. Is it any wonder Ansel Adams didn't care for color?
I have a couple of oldies. The first one is of the Corn Palace in 1986 I made with a star filter and entered it into the Governors Photo Contest and won $300.00 and first place in it's category.
The second one is Catalina Island off the coast of California. It is an IR. I may have posted this one back in the WC days.

Thanks Grant and Dave!
Natalie, That is an awesome floral! Highlights, midtones and shadows are perfect! Sharpness and DOF are spot on! Reminds me very much of an Ansel Adams photo!`
I jumped into the Way Back Machine for this old shot of afternoon sun angling through an unseen window to illuminate a bookcase; just now converted it to a high contrast grayscale version...
It's hard to tell in this non-color version, but among the items are: a large model of the massive Saturn V rocket (the one used for the Apollo moon missions), a small plant, some even smaller figurines, and of course a bunch of books. Among the books are two sci-fi novels by Andy Weir (he's the computer geek who wrote The Martian which later became a movie (I have a signed copy), Tom Wolfe's The Right Stuff (which also became a movie), Mission to Mars by Buzz Aldrin, some works by Tolkien, Contact by Carl Sagan, and a whole bunch more.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
