Hi ya boys.
I am trying to get over a nasty cold now that developed into an ear infection. I am now on Antibiotics and the ear pain has subsided anyway.
Your pretty flowers is just what I needed, Dave, to brighten my day. It is real dreary here but at least the temps are supposed to get up to the low 40's.
Love your details in the IRIS shot, Dave, and your contrast in the SNOWDROPs shot. Both are nicely composed and framed.
Today's Macro Monday topic was RING.
Here is what I came up with for today's challenge:
Peach Pit RIngs
My dad worked for one of the big three automotive industries in Detroit. As an electrician, he was sent out to fix things that broke down in the shop. On slow days, when the line was running smoothly, he had extra time on his hands.
He found little things to fill his downtown, and this was one example. In the summertime, when Peaches from ROMEO, Michigan, were abundant, he would eat his peach at lunchtime and then start filing down the pit to make a peach ring.
He made many and I can see why since they all displayed different patterns, one prettier than the next. He brought them home for my mom and me. I thought they were special then but they are even more special to me now.
I have a question. If I did not tell you what they were, would you have guessed they were made from the pit of a peach?
