Hey there.
Boy, Grant, your view of the wintery scene chills my bones. So, far, we have been lucky to miss all he snow that has been spreading across this country. On the other hand, just last week, a rose bloomed outside our side door! Yikes, that has never happened since I have been in this house for 43 years.
Dave, your layering of the two images turned out rather well. It simple terms you created a shallow DOF, but I am sure the shades and hues of the shadows were different in the blurred images which added to the contrast and originality. I like the inclusion of the perfectly straight wrought iron post that separates the composition into thirds. It adds something special to the image.
Don, I like the storefront, even though BACKEREI is not in English, nor are the words on the chalkboard (from what I can see), the words written across the top of the window are in English. They are TRADITION and SINCE 1936.
Well, after ove a month, I got my sewing machine plugged in and started finishing a PREMIE quilt that I had worked on before putting everything away prior to my hip surgery. I am tired of just sitting around, watching TV, working on CRYPTOGRAM puzzles, playing Canasta and Euchre on line, etc.,
I had also done some Zentangling, making a card for a bridal show and one for the several thank you's that I needed to send out to my dear thoughtful friends. I finally got them mailed yesterday and feel much better having finished that.
Tonight (it is Tuesday now), our photo club has been invited by a neighboring photo club to join them in a ZOOM presentation. I looked at the photographer's images and they are very good, but most of them are landscapes of some spectacular places. although I am not into that genre of photography, I am sure he will have tips that can be used or adapted to other types of photography. It starts at 7 pm.
Here is the name of the photographer: DAVID SWINDLER.
You can find him ONLINE.
