Welcome back Darlene. What birding festivals have you been attending? We have gone to the Laredo Birding Festival for the past 2 years in Feb, but have decided to pass on it this year. It is a good one though.

Would you like me to see if I can change your user name to DesertDarlene? It won't restore any previous posts but it would at least be the user name you want (if the system will let me do that).  Let me know.

Sure, that would be nice if you could change it to DesertDarlene. I don't think I did a lot of posts, so it's no real loss.

I go to the SE Arizona bird festival every year, just about. 
I've also gone to the Wings over Wilcox, AZ
I've been to the Snow Goose Festival in Chico
I also go to my local San Diego bird festival.

Next week, I will be going to the Hawai'i Island Festival of Birds in Hilo, HI.

SE Arizona is a good spot for birding. We have been to Bosque del Apache NWR in New Mexico a few times in the winter to see the many snow geese and a few Ross' geese.  Hawaii should be a great trip. We picked up a number of new birds there, but it wasn't during a festival.
