Don, lovely light on all three of your subjects in addition to nice shadows, reflections, colors and details. I couldn’t pick a favorite from the group if you asked me. Love that intense blue in the flower, the eye contact and pose of the blue bird and beads of water on the loon.
Good for you on “completing your first overnight round trip solo motor bike ride” in recent years. Were you tired after three hours with the wind in your hair? Is that your tent in the background? It appears that you had nice dry conditions. The only thing I see missing is a lounge chair. Did you enjoy the venture? If it were my husband, I would have him calling me every 70 miles or so.
DAve, I do believe that that iris likes low light, it ironically shines the brightest in softer light. I do not think you have anything more to prove, but keep those images coming, they are really beautiful.
