Thanks for the comments.....I made Borscht....beef, beet and cabbage soup with potatoes, celery and carrots and seasoned with bay leaf, salt and pepper, garlic, onions.....and tomato paste with some fresh tomatoes. my mom's recipe....Doesn't taste at all like stew....and I tried to mix up her bread recipe that she always baked to eat with borscht but I ran out of flour and had to go get more and now not sure how it's going to work out. we shall see....
