Thanks for the encouragement, folks.

I'm trying to stick to a routine of painting for at least an hour each day, and I prefer to do that outside, usually sometime after 1:00 PM when the sun strikes the paper from over my left shoulder. So here is my setup, tucked near pots of spring veggies in the outer yard...

Left to right: 1) leaning against a stump is the cover for one of my large palettes ; 2) resting on the stump is my reference material - in this case a wonderful book by Jean Haines; 3) resting on the folding stool (for this photo) is my large palette. I have two - this one with vivid colors and another that is based on a split-complementary method, although when I'm sketching with just a few colors I use one of several small palettes - whatever palette I am using sits on the small square paver when I'm sitting on the stool; 4) the folding stool; 5) above the palette is a folding table; it has a mesh storage feature where I keep whatever brushes and pigments I'll use; 6) I place my adjustable table easel on this table; 7) on the right edge of the table is some drinking  water and in this case a bottle of Mickey's; 8) to the right of the stool is my large water container which I keep clean for mixing hues and adding water to the painting; and at far right is my modified brush cleaner/holder.

I almost always have my camera out there with me, usually resting on the large rock at bottom center. Sometimes to photograph my work as it progresses (or often regresses), and often to take pics of a visiting hummingbird or some of the various flowers in the yard when I'm waiting for the sketch/painting to dry.
