Monday January 24

Good day, all.
Well, Don, while you were out there picking up leaves, I was out shoveling snow. I did some by hand but the majority with the snowblower. It was coming down pretty hard and I managed to do ours and the neighbors on both sides of us. I am glad that I did not have to put the snow in bags or barrels, that is so time-consuming. A dozen bags, wow, you had your work cut out for you. We do not have yard pick-up now until the spring. In no time at all, Don, you'll be able to take images of daffodils like the nice ones you started our daily with today. They are always a welcome sign for warmer days ahead.

Don, before I take an electronic item apart, like a TV or stereo receiver, I put an Avery Label on the chord and then mark it #1 and then apply another Avery Label to where this chord is to be plugged in. Then I go to the next chord and do the same. If I did not do this, I would never get things back together. I do this every time we bring home our TV from our trailer up north. But since the chords and receptors are all labeled, it made the whole process much easier. We don't dare leave the TV in the trailer over the winter months. There is no insulation in those TIN houses and the TV screen would probably crack from the severe cold temps up north.

Patty, I have to go look up the term RR bed. That is a nicely composed image you presented this morning. I am amazed that the bell still remains on the cement posts. It must be well anchored in there. It appears that the foundation and bell might now be on private property and I know how respectful you are. I was wondering though if the schoolhouse foundation had a cornerstone. It is a very nice composition with the bell in the foreground, a barn in the background and a fence framing the two.

Dave, I know nothing about Phoebies, other than yours is a handsome looking bird. I need to go check in internet to listen to the song that they sing. Nice blue skies in both yours and Patty's images.

Good Tuesday to you, Peter. Glad to hear that your shoulder is finally getting better. We don't mend like we use to.

I think I will save my image until tomorrow since it is a wee bit late in the day. I was busy till 4 pm today, had a lot of things to do around the house.

Well, it is time for dinner. I made turkey meatballs, gravy, mash potatoes, and corn. It feels good to eat something like this on a day where there is 4 inches of snow coating our ground. The temps are pretty low, but at least that created some light powder snow instead of that back-breaking slushy stuff.

Till Later,
LORELL
