Don, good pencil work on the egg.I bet it was cold by the time you got to eat it.
Rich, I do work from photos. You are quite right that one needs to simplify and not put ALL the details in.
I also like to mix water colour and soft pastel. The one in fall colours I reprinted and added oil stick to a canvas print [in a later version]. The second named afternoon is is plein air. Edit I just  found the original fall photo.

I worked at designing so this book is my work. I was asked to adjust parts and to typeset.
