I agree that the bird sort of resembles a robin but I'm sure it's a bluebird because when it flew away the strong blue on it's back was obvious.

I learned something from the photos I took that morning - a sky with just a touch of light haze makes a good background for photos of birds,

I heard that parts of the Dakotas had some dangerous weather conditions a day or so ago; hope it wasn't near you.
