Hey there, it is December!
Wow, that was a quick year.

Good morning all.
I see that we missed yesterday's daily and before I get a move on this morning, I wanted to get this thread going.
From my club's last photo trip to the KIRK IN THE HILLS Episcopal church, I captured this image of their impressive and beautiful stained glass windows. This is looking up at the ceiling over a side altar.  The side altar is to the left of this pulpit.

I hope you have a great start to your day,
LORELL

Thanks for starting the Daily, Lorell.

Your first photo is mesmerizing. Love the gold vs blue interaction. Ut looks like a computer-generated fractal, but a careful viewing of some window details says otherwise.

In the second there is still a bit of the blue and gold action, but what really caught my eye is that gorgeous wood.

A rose macro taken late this morning...

Anybody else watching the World Cup? There were a couple of surprising results over the past couple of days as 6 of the 8 groups have completed round robin play. Only the top 2 of the four teams in each group will advance to the next round. Among the surprises - Mexico (World #13) fails to advance, Australia (#38) excelled by getting second place in their group, Japan (#24)  upset Spain (#7) for first (but Spain still advances by getting second place), perennial powerhouse Germany (#11)  fails to advance, in group F Morocco (#22) won their group while Belgium (#2) failed to advance. Group G still hasn't finished round robin play but Brazil (World #1) has enough points to advance and will probably end up first while Switzerland (#15) will probably get second but that isn't guaranteed, Group H teams also have one more game before we no who advances but Portugal (#9) will probably advance in first place while Ghana (#61) is currently in second and has a good chance of advancing with a second place in the group.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Awesome shot, Lorell....what a beautiful church. And that door woodwork is also wonderful.
Dave, I like this macro shot...might look good in sepia or B&W, too.

Thanks Natalie.

You are right - sepia and B&W versions are definitively worth trying.
