Very cool, Natalie. I'll have to see if I can find some seeds or seedlings.
Excellent photos!
I have a WhatIzIt object in mind; just need to retrieve it from the garage (I'm pretty sure I know where it is), then take, process, and post a photo. Will try to do that later this morning.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

It's a scoop (very small; less than 3.5 inches or 8.9 cm long) that came as a part of a very small spice grinder. But since spice grinders are indistinguishable from coffee grinders, I'd say that Michael got it immediately. But this scoop isn't used to transfer freshly ground coffee to a coffee maker; it helps transfer the ground spices from the grinder's receptacle to a jar for storage.
Rich's guess impressed me. Entirely plausible without knowing the dimensions.
Natalie's guess was as equally on target as Michael's.
I'll post a photo of the entire spice grinder in today's Daily.
