Is anyone else having this problem...Every time I go to write or type 2022, I find myself typing 2023 instead.  I wonder why that is.
Well, anyway.  Here's to a good week.
Major league baseball starts this week, hurray!
Have a good day all.

What a beautiful portrait of Ella!!  I miss my boxer so much, but not ready to take on another pup....maybe some day! Give her kisses for me!!

I was over at my brothers and snapped this shot of one of his collections.....

Going to cut grass today, going to rain for the next 3 days and it's getting pretty hairy around the farm.......

Thanks for the Daily, Lorell.

Bella may be a bit grayer, but remains a darned good-looking dog. Very nice portrait - I noticed how well the color and forms of the chair/couch complement Bella.

I'm resting up for a few more hours after digging up portions of the front yard to remove unwanted growth and prepare to sow several varieties of sunflower seeds. I also got my wheeled raised bed going with 4 kinds of peppers (Anaheim, Poblano, Caribbean Red, and Thai Hybrid) plus some radish seeds between the rows of peppers. I also planted some Black Krim heirloom tomatoes and lemon cucumbers in pots.

Natalie, you posted while I was composing my reply. I don't know exactly what we're looking at in your photo, but it sure is a nice, and rather unique still life.

This photo from two days ago didn't look promising and I almost deleted it. But a simple bump on brightness and a touch of sharpening here and there yielded a pleasing (at least to me) image...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks, Dave! What you are looking at is my brother's vintage poultry equipment collection. Two different types of egg scales, and egg crate and a baby chick waterer. He has laying chickens and sells eggs....he also likes antiques.
Dave, I really like that rose, reminds me of some my mother used to have....just my opinion, but have you tried upping the contrast?

Good afternoon all. Thanks for starting the daily Lorell, and a very nice doggie portrait!

Interesting collection Natalie.

Yes Dave, a pleasing image indeed. Nice color.

Well, I feel as though I have dodged a bullet! We had a dead tree out back and I had a ladder leaned up against it with the intent of climbing up with my chain saw and starting at the top, saw a bit at a time until I could safely get the rest down. Just had not gotten around to it. Imagine my surprise when I looked out back this morning to see my ladder at a crazy angle and realized that the tree had fallen. Pretty sure that if I had climbed up that ladder I would have come down quicker than I went up. Brought to mind some news I received a few months ago that a high school classmate of mine fell off a ladder, hit his head on a brick, and died. Another acquaintance fell off a short ladder and broke a leg. So yeah, I think I was lucky that I kept putting it off.

DW and I are headed to the movies this afternoon, first time in oh so long. Something that she wanted to see. But seeing as it is my birthday month I will get a free popcorn so not all bad.

Lorell, Natalie, Dave,
We miss our Sophie but time marches on. My Golden locks are now grey too. And it grows everywhere else except where I want it to.

Speaking of time. Today marks Bev and my 42 years....

Hello everyone!
Been keeping busy? LOL..I have!
Lorell, that is a beautiful photo of Ella. What a lovable face!

Natalie, I miss my boxer too (boxer mix..mostly boxer)
I love the antique egg equipment! Nice to see you taking photos!

Thats a beautiful blast of pink rose! Can't wait to see your pepper crop!
I love growing peppers!

Hi Don!
Well, that took care of that tree. Yeah, I think there should be a cut off date for tall ladder work;
especially with a saw in one hand. God is watching out for you, for sure!

DH had to clean gutters ahead of the possible storm last week and I am never happy about that.
We have always been do-it-ourselfers and its going to be hard to have to hire people to do things we used to do.
We enjoy difficult/grunge work...its very rewarding when its finished!

Congratulations Grant & Bev! Good going and Many more blessings!

Well yesterday we went up to the produce market in Alto, GA
(about and hours drive via the backroads)
Had my Fuji with me.

Lorell, beautiful portrait of a beautiful friend! Good lighting!

Nataile, interesting still-life! All you need to go into business except the chickens, and the....and the....etc!
We will take your rain, VERY dry here. With gale force winds every week it really makes for dryness.

Beautyful rose Dave. As Natalie mentioned. a touch of contrast might make it pop!

Don, Yes, count that story as a God Moment!
The highest I climb a ladder is 4-5 feet.

Grant, Congratulations! I hope you have a billion or more seconds!

Patty, good to see you posting again!
I see why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains! Looking forward to a Georgia Peach!

Thanks Patty and Rich, I remember the Blue Ridge mountains Virginia side. I spent my first wedding in Lynchburg.

Don, so glad you did not go up that ladder. Friend of mine was up on his roof to clean a chimney, fell off and broke his neck and died. So easy to do. I put siding on my 2 story house when I was in my mid 40's ....up on scaffolding....could not do it now! Medications make my head spin and I don't have the strength in my core anymore!!
Grant, Congratulations on 42 years together!! Warms my heart!
Hi, Patty! What a great landscape, just imagine what it will look like with the peach trees in bloom!! You will have to take another road trip!
Hi, Rich! Glad I don't have chickens anymore....except my daughter has 10 laying hens....but that's her job!! not mine!!
