Lorell, that is one beautiful and unusual orchid!  Great detail!!  I like your original as first posted and C, maybe something between the two?  I may have to buy another orchid! For years, we would buy an orchid during the winter months....and then it would die. This year I have this bloom,  it is in full swing right now!! This is the third year I have gotten this one to bloom for me!!
Peter, that is a lovely image! WOW! I'll be curious to see it without the trails, too. You could also just run a blur over the sky to soften the trails......just an idea....That lone surfer just adds so much, too!
Hi, Steve.
Hi, Dave. That's a beautiful flower....it looks like a Nasturtium....some bird may have carried the seed into your yard. You can eat those blossoms in salads.
Don, what a nice bridge!  See what you did there, with the bike blocking out that sign. I like the third shot best, maybe clone out the sign? You had a nice sky, too!

Thanks for the positive comments folks. I had a go at getting rid of the trails, but decided to put some back. Below is the current version. Still chewing over some other aspects of course!

Lorell - I too would go with C. The problem as I saw it was that the original image was neither soft nor hard, but a mix. I think that I would also darken the center of the flower except for the style/stigma bit to get some separation. But well done anyway.

Natalie - great to see you back. Missed you!

regards - Peter

Peter, that's a very nice shot of a beautiful place. It has an uncanny likeness to our community of Oceanside, Oregon.
Here's a shot I took of Oceanside.

Gorgeous image, Natalie.

Don, three very fine photos.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
