Good day, everyone.

For those interested, today the men's March Madness resumes. This years tournament sure has had its share of surprises and upsets. I don't know if these have been cases of true underdogs over-performing, or very bad seeding by those running the tournament.

A shot taken yesterday during a walk in the middle of the day. The harsh sun was not suitable for taking photos, and I had to do  lot of processing to bring this one up to mediocre. And despite my best efforts, it still looks rather unrealistic, but it's all I have right now...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good morning Dave - thanks for starting the daily. Not much going on here, no new photos to share.

Night before last we had some storms but the weather was supposed to be OK yesterday afternoon, so I decided to ride my motorcycle about 75 miles south to pick up some fresh tomatoes and strawberries. About 20 miles out I hit rain and terrible wind, so it wasn't a nice ride at all. This is from a screen capture of a video with my GoPro. It was raining although you can't tell from the photo.

I've been thinking of going over to the local botanical gardens to try out my 24-200mm lens since I have made some focusing adjustments and see if it is any better. Our big birding trip is coming up in a few weeks and I want the lens to be "ready".

Hi guys. Thanks for starting our daily, Dave. The colors really popped with that dark background.

Don, those roads looked so slick, that had to be a wet ride. Were you equipped with rain gear?

Be back later with a photo.

Dave, another complimentary color photo with tough lighting. You pulled it off though, nice!

Don, Definitely not a nice day for a ride! If your like the bikers I see on I-90 going to Sturgis they carry rain gear and stop under an overpass and put it on.

Here is a blah photo that I played with to add interest.

Good morning, Rich. That is an interesting transformation.  I also have a blah photo that I tried to do the same thing with.  I hope I have not posted it yet.  My mind gets foggy by the end of the month.

I call it:

Good Afternoon Lorell! I would say you had a good save! Lots of interest.

In my B&W days, after I printed it I may have hand colored the gas cap on the center engine a muted red. Just the large circle, not the top part.

Interesting Shots Dave and Lorell,
There is muted colour, but Rich has a good idea too.

Hi all, nice varied group of photos from colorful flowers, wet roads, old outboards and nifty wildlife paneling. The weather started out quite chilly with 34 at the house but after dropping a granddaughter off at the horse barn I headed out to the spit for my 5 mile beach walk. It was still chilly when I got there at 8:30. No other cars at the parking area except I was not alone. About a dozen elk were there and slowly ambled off after I managed to get a quick shot. The wind was calm and the temps rose as I walked up the road paralleling the bay. When I returned to the truck there were about 15 vehicles there and more on the way. At a small lake on the way out these folks were enjoying the late morning by paddling around.

That looks like a particularly uncomfortable ride, Don.

Rich - nice original photo, and effective texture processing.

Cool image, Lorell. Good title too.

Three very nice photos, Quint. I especially like # 2 with its pleasantly muted colors and inviting composition.

Hi Grant. Is the melting still going on?

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!
