Well, Friday is almost over for me.

This is known as either or both; White rumped miner, Yellow throated miner. It was one of the birds feeding in a Kooba wattle that hangs over my shed.
It seemed to take a short time out to simply enjoy the winter sun.

This is known as the Mallee ring-necked parrot, the other bird feeding in the same Kooba.

Great image of the miner - I love it.

And a colorful parrot, too.

Thanks for brightening my morning with these.

Peter, good miner photo. I have not seen either of them. Very colorful.
Dave, interesting cone of flowers! Nice black BG!

First Friday on Main today. Due to the heat, humidity and the fireworks tonight it started at 11 AM until 2 PM. I went down about 11 for a half hour and it was all I wanted.

How about a 1955 Corvette! Talk about your classics!

I take it the cone of yellow flowers is a succulent, Dave?

The Corvette was the car of my dreams when young. Wouldn't be able to afford to put fuel in it these days.

Thanks Rich. What a beauty (except for the obligatory fins of that era) of a classic car. Your fine photo prompted me to do a little research. The first Corvette was built in 1953. Today a well maintained or restored
1955 'Vette in good to excellent condition sells for $86,000 to nearly $125,000.

Sorry about the brutal heat and humidity.

Yes MFI, it's a succulent from my front yard. If photographed from a different angle this and many other succulents display the arithmetic precision of the arrangement of the small structures. Probably something like the Fibonacci sequence (where each element is the sum of the 2 elements that precede it); ask Lorell, I think she is a retired math teacher.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave, I will post my photo of a 2025 Corvette E-Ray soon. Price starts at $106,900. Get your checkbook out! I'll take a classic 53-56 hands down. Dreamn' along with Peter.
