Beautiful Dave! Wonder if it is one of Ron's?
Going to take photos of the two new murals on the front of the Palace. They have the outline up and is easy to see what they will be. Will post tomorrow.

Thanks Rich.
No, not one of Ron's. The residents at Ron's former home have really let things deteriorate: weeds (some 6 feet tall and others have actually grown up through fake grass), miscellaneous trash in the yard and on the sidewalk and street, trash cans left by the curb for weeks. Very sad to witness.
I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of the newest murals.
Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

That's a lovely rose shot, Dave. I love the shadings of yellow that you captured so well.
This native bee is very small. The flower itself is less than 1cm and they only open in the late afternoon for a short period. Thus there is little available light and the bees only alight on the flower for a nanosecond before darting to another flower. My daughter's camera had built in flash but mine didn't. Thus the credit goes to her for this which is just one of a series that she captured while I was getting flowers after the bee had left. At best I'd get a blurry bee leaving. The bee and the plant are dependant on each other. I haven't seen other insects visiting the flowers.
She takes after me but is an even better photographer than me.
Happiness simply is.
There need be no pursuit.

WoW! What a great image! The black background combined with the sharpness and colors of the flower and bee make for a winner in my book! Composition is perfect too!

Thanks MFI.
That's a superb photo. The bee is at a classic COI hot spot, allowing it to hold it's own vs the flower for the COI. The graceful curves of the stems and the angle of the flowerlift the competition from good to excellent.
The comparatively neutral colors of the stems, leaves, and background make the bee and especially the flower look great.
Striking flower colors.
And the sharpness of he bee and flower is spot on; I think many (I include myself) would over-sharpen the flower, but IMO that would detract from the overall pleasingly soft and calming mood of the photo.
I agree with Rich - your photo is a real winner!
