[Dave]

Good day or evening to all.

Here's a re-edit of an image from around 15 years ago.

A photo I took through an airplane window? Nope.

Taken with a high altitude drone? No.

A photo I took leaning over the basket of a hot air balloon? Not a chance!

It's based on an image I made using Terragen, a landscape and waterscape generating software.

It brought to mind the Matt Damon movie The Martian, based on the excellent book of the same name, written by Andy Weir.  His latest book is titled Hail Mary, A fascinating novel about a long-shot attempt to save Earth that involves one man, an extraterrestrial, and their eventual friendship. I found it to be a great book, unlike anything I've read before. It's among my top 10 favorite books ever.

WoW! Nice Dave. Looks like a Mars Landscape!
No hot air balloon for me either!
Books sound interesting!

Redecorating process is in full swing for new murals on the 2025 edition of the Corn Palace. Will look up the theme and let you know.
Kind of like a paint by number only with colored corn.

Dave, it does look a bit like Mars or you were flying over central Australia in a hot air balloon.

Rich, I presume the corn map shows fields on rolling hills?

A humble but beautful orchid is the purple bearded orchid.

That's a beauty Peter!

The 2025 mural theme will be a combination of Seven Wonders of the World and national and international destinations. What is showing above? We will have to wait and see!

Sounds cool.
