Good morning all - last day of the month. Just sitting here wondering when the cooler weather is going to get here. Almost 70F right now and not even 7 AM yet. Even up in the Smoky Mountains (where we are going in a couple of days) the weather promises to be sunny, upper 60s to lower 70s in the day and 50's at night.

I had some issues with the forum yesterday morning and I wasn't sure I was going to be able to recover everything, but it all worked out in the end. So if anyone tried to log in and found the forum closed, that was the problem. Of course with no more activity than we have I doubt anyone noticed.

Hope everyone has a good week coming up!

Yeah, I was pretty frustrated with it. I had tried to move some things around to clean it up a bit and for whatever reason the only thing showing was the "Other" forum. Photo Forums was gone, could not make it appear no matter what I tried. Finally went over to the support forum and got a few suggestions and eventually got it all back. I was sweating it for a while though.

I noticed too.

Don, thanks for creating this site for us, and for the hours of ""behind the scenes" work you do to maintain it.

From my archives (Feb 2017): this was actually green leaves on an almost black background, but a little Photoshop work transformeded it into this more interesting color palette...

I really like that image, Dave. Looks more like jewellery than a plant.

Here's my contribution from the plant kingdom. Ajuga australis, Australian Bugle.

Yes, I noticed too. I was too busy to post on Halloween though.
Dave, I really like that transformation. I hope you can remember how you did it and try it on some other images with good results like that.

Don,
Sorry that you had problems, I would have freaked out. I hate detours when I driving, let alone, an entire blog shutting down while I was trying to clean things up.

Thank you MFI, Natalie, Lorell, and Rich.

MFI, those are lovely blossoms and your photo is well composed and well exposed.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Thanks Dave. Smile This is an unusual flower colour. These flowers are usually blue.

Yes, Peter, cute little purple flowers! Looks similar to some tiny flowers we have in our area.....
