Good morning to you all.
I am meeting a friend for lunch but not before we do a little shopping in a cute town just north of us.
Until I return, here is something for your enjoyment.
Good morning Lorell, Don and others. A great looking display of some vintage aero subjects. Don, have a fun trip to Ohio. Hope the weather is good for your trip.
The wing walking sign made me think of my daughter doing a pre flight check on a C-130 while she was a navigator in the Coast Guard. This is one of several I took while holding my breath.
Good one Steve, At least she wasn't upside down. Did they put sticky boots on?
Reminds me of when I had to venture part way out on the wing of an airplane for a photo shoot. It is quite the story.
We needed perfectly straight down photos in 4x5 inch format as they needed to be enlarged to 12 feet high. The night before the shoot I had a woodworker fashion one out of Black Plexiglass sheets. It used black plumbing pipe to fit the lens to infinity. Quite a memory. It was the story of food. So we shot crop patterns from above. Cattle grazing etc....

Grant, quite a bit of ingenuity and you the wing man to boot. Close as I got was in a helicopter with no door while the pilot tipped the helo at a steep angle while flying low on a recon. I spent most of my time with aerial photos on the ground. Stereo pairs were a handy tool. Probably helped my eyesight since I still do not wear glasses. Not sure about the sticky boots. I'll have to ask her.
Hey, what were the odds of having someone follow my lead today?
Steve, you surprised the heck out of me.
Wow, I am not sure if I could have watched my daughter do something like that. And I am sure glad that I never saw all the dumb and dangerous things that I am sure my son did growing up. Oh well. That is a cool photo, Steve.
Grant, did your wife know that you were going to do something like that? Yikes. It was probably better if you told her afterward instead of before, right?
Hi Ya , Rich.
Don, it appears that you deleted your post.
LORELL
Happy belated Thursday, all....
Lorell, that is some shot! Great display! What a great museum you have the opportunity to visit!! I sure would NOT be a wingwalker!! Crazy what people do......
Steve, you must be so proud of your daughter! Great shot of her!! Steve, was she on a flight? or on a still plane??? If on a flight, I would have been trembling too much to take a shot!!
Grant, that must have been exciting, and a genius idea to fit the lens!
