Good afternoon all,
Just got back from a nice walk at the northern most point of the island.
The weather is great, wish you were here.

Very nice, Lorell. I especially admire what you did with the light and the rich color of the posts just right of the bike. The shadows add a lot to your photo: they tie some of the objects together and in the lower right corner effectively function as an eye stopper.

This morning I did some shopping for my Super Bowl food. Got a small pork loin and some 90% lean ground sirloin; both are now in the freezer but I'll transfer them to the fridge on Friday, start slow cooking the pork loin for some pulled pork sandwiches early Sunday morning, and about an hour before game time will cook the ground sirloin (already formed into patties) for slightly more upscale burgers than my usual fare. I'll probably also pick up some cheese (maybe crumbled blue or feta), scallions and maybe some ginger for the burgers, and some balsamic vinegar for the pulled pork.

Another rose photo taken during a late morning walk 4 days ago - trying again for a more high key image than I usually produce...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Dave, I did not even notice the shadows in this image, but now that you pointed them out, I agree that they pay an important part in the composition. Thanks, Dave.

The high key rose is beautiful, Dave. It is a perfect specimen and the petals are clean and perfectly in focus.
