Good day, all.

Here's a photo of Pippin taken in early 2017, not too long after we adopted him from a local shelter.

He's dozing on the couch, with his chin resting on a blanket.

The things I like most about this shot are: 1) it has nice clarity; 2) there is a full range of values; and; 2) the brownish and bluish tones interact nicely with each other and with the brighter white areas.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Hey guys.  Thanks, Dave, for the sweet relaxed mood that you started the daily with.
Hey Pippin.  He looks so comfortable and content.

Well, Holiday #1 is done.  We had quite a few trick-or-treaters last evening.  Our dog Ella had such a good time greeting all the kids.  We take out the screen from the front door and Ella can stay inside and just stick her neck and face out.  It must be her friendly face, cause the kids are not scared of her.

Now on to Prepping for Thanksgiving.  That one is my big day to make all the Fixin's.  I will just try not to think about it for a while though. I do wonder what the turkeys are going to cost this year. I remember last year saying that there was going to be a shortage.  So, I bought my frozen turkey early at a high price and then was angry because there was no shortage and I paid twice the price that everyone else was paying the week of Thanksgiving. Oh well, I will probably be paying the same amount for this year's turkey for other reasons.

I made a trip with a huge load of stuff for the Salvation Army near us.  The whole van was practically filled.  I was glad that there were two guys to unload the stuff as I used up all of my strength carrying things up from the basement.  I even got rid of some things I no longer wear.  Heck, some of that stuff was my dress/work clothes from 10-15 years ago.  I need to do that more often, I just touched the surface.

My neighbor rang my front doorbell and brought me over a little surprise.
This little planter is only about four inches tall.
It is in celebration of the DAY OF THE DEAD.
Little did she know that I was looking for something to post and had no idea when she rang my doorbell.

Hi Lorell!
Well a FB friend of mine in town had over 700 come to her door. There is one street in town that has over a 1000 every year at each house on the street. The street is 6 blocks long with only one side street crossing so is pretty safe for the kiddos.

Had to laugh at your S. Army story. I look back at old photos when searching for something. Many times I see a photo of me wearing a shirt from 10 years or more ago and I still have it AND wear it!
