I'm already up and about, so here's your Daily.

My watercolor supplies finally arrived, And I have determined my palette (a split primary, meaning a warm and a cool of each primary, plus a few other colors) Now I need to spend a few days on practice mixes to get acquainted with the range of colors possible, as well as try out the new brushes. This is gonna be fun!

Here's an image taken a few days ago; I like the value contrasts and textures and hope these are enough to overcome the mundane subject...

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

Good morning Dave. I checked earlier and no one was around so I went looking for an image or two myself. That is a nice combination of texture and contrast, definitely enough to make it interesting.

I haven't done any water color in months - maybe I need to do the same as you and break out the paint and brushes. I have been watching YT videos of Paul Clark, who does a lot of tutorials and has interesting content. I might try to follow along on one of them to try to get back in practice.

Last night (since there has been so little activity here) I went over to WC and there is nothing photography related there at all. The old forum has nothing new since everyone left last year. I know I joined a couple of other forums that were suggested before I started this one and plan on checking them out sometime today just to see how that is going.

Here are a couple of reflection images from the state park lake where we were camping.

Edit: Well, I went over to paintingfriends.com where I had registered a while ago, but even though I had an account and was able to log in, I couldn't even view the forums. Perhaps they disable accounts if you don't log in after so much time. I don't think I will pursue trying to get my account "unlocked" or whatever the problem is.

Dave,
Kudos to you for reviving your painting talent! I am looking forward to seeing your work!

Not sure what I am looking at in your photo except for the background. The exposure is spot on though!

Don,
A couple of beautiful reflection photos! The aspen/birch is my favorite!

Yes, things a little slow here and other forums. Winter Blues??

Marvellous frosty shot. I like all of these.
The pizza looks good but I'd put way less cheese and more other ingredients.
Living in a land where there is only one truly deciduous species, trees that lose their leaves for half the year look dead to me.
Love the reflections though.

Is that a worn out car seat, Dave?

More delightful eye candy, Don. I especially like the second one.

Thanks Rich. I'm not sure how much talent I have with watercolors, but if I get something worth sharing I'll post it. The object in my photo is a worn out cover on an older model pickup truck.

Two nice photos, Grant. The ice crystals are create a wonderful composition.

MFI, I think bare trees look dead to everyone. You were kinda close about my photo - see my reply to Rich above.

Don't blame me - I didn't vote for him!

When the boys were young we used to call it an egg pizza. In reality it is a Frittata.
